Round 9, Daytona - We're Halfway!

Halfway through the SX Series, and things are heating up. It's only a matter of time now before we see the return of Chad Reed. Of course most us thought that would be in Daytona after he set the fastest qualifying time and thus, the reason the majority of bench racers included him in our Picks.....F*#$!!!! Will he ride in Toronto? Better do our homework this week and find out because we have our own National Championships to think about; thanks for the tease Chad! And what about Stewart? That dude just disappears when he gets hurt. If we hear anything, we will be sure to post it on our facebook page and Twitter.

'chadericsmom' threw down some nice picks to earn the 250 Class high with 122 points and helped grab the final podium position. Great job to 'squidracing' who scored 111 points in the 450, but a slower 250 result was only good enough for 7th overall for the round.  

450 Class Championship: No change in the top 3 Championship chase this weekend, but we did see a shakeup beyond the podium as ProMotoFan's start to take some risk with their picks. 'Ky Layfield' had a weekend to forget, moving from 4th to 10th overall. On the move was '8packofdeath' who cracks the top 5 sitting in fifth.

250 East Class Championship: 'Jock' overtakes the top spot and is now a serious threat for all Championships; wow! Not so fast says 'Kawazuki' who was on the gas at Daytona and moved into second only 1 point behind 'Jock'. Our leader since Round 1 of the 250 East holds onto 3rd overall and goes by the handle 'jarret125, braap! Lots of new contenders arrived in the top 10 as well. 'wheeler586', '8kn4air' (cool name), and 'mmitoptech'.

250 West Class Championship: No Racing at Round #9

SX Series Championship: We seeeeee you 'Jock'. 'BigMX' moves in to 2nd overall only 31 points down. I wouldn't get too confident however. Just ask 'crf450' who has been holding top 3 for several weeks, but is now in 10th after Daytona; hmmmm I wonder if Reed was in those Picks?! New to the podium comes 'wheeler586' and experienced the opposite of 'crf450' after sitting in 7th last week. With the win in Daytona, 'PK15' cracks the top 10, but can he hold it now the rest of the Series? 'HM1' also makes an appearance in the overall Championship as a legitimate contender.
